Union Gas: Home Reno Rebate Program
Get paid to increase your home’s efficiency?
Yes; it’s true.
Home Owners completing work to increase their home’s energy efficiency can be eligible for up to $5,000 in rebates from Union Gas, depending on the work being completed.
To be eligible; you must meet the following:
You own a detached, semi-detached, town house or mobile home.
It’s heated by natural gas, oil, propane, electricity or wood.
It’s located in the Union Gas program area.
You must complete an energy assessment both before and after renovations.
You must complete at least two eligible renovations.
Available rebates include:
Basement insulation
$1,250 – Add at least R23 to 100% of basement
$750 – Add at least R12 to 100% of basement
$1,000 – Add at least R23 to 100% of crawl space wall
$500 – Add at least R10 to 100% of crawl space wall
$500 – Add at least R24 to 100% of floor above crawl space
Exterior wall insulation
$1,750 – Add at least R9 for 100% of building to achieve a minimum of R12
$1,250 – Add at least R3.8 for 100% of building to achieve a minimum of R12
Attic insulation
$500 – Increase attic insulation to at least R50 from R12 or less
$250 – Increase attic insulation to at least R50 from R13 to R25
$500 – Increase cathedral/flat roof insulation by at least R14
Air sealing
$150 – Achieve 10% or more above base target
$100 – Achieve base target
