Residential Uses for INSTA-PANELS®
INSTA-PANELS® have many uses for in your home. Use them on the walls
of basements and underneath concrete floors to assure that you are
minimizing your heat losses through the ground.
Sample House Savings using INSTA-PANELS
Based on the Following Assumptions:
- House type: single detached, one story, and full basement
- Dimensions: rectangular in shape 40 x 60 ft, wall high
8ft
Sample houses are built the same but are insulated in
different ways.
- House 1 - Walls and ceiling insulated by fiberglass
- House 2 - Walls and ceiling insulated by polyurethane
foam (air and vapor barrier)
- House 3 - Walls and ceiling insulated by polyurethane
foam basement walls insulated with INSTA-PANELS
- House 4 - Walls and ceiling insulated by polyurethane

Conclusions:
- Comparing house # 2 and 4 – The difference in heating
costs between insulated and uninsulated floor will most
likely be up to 54%.
- The better the house is insulated (walls and ceiling)
= the more energy is lost through an uninsulated floor.
- For house # 2, the main heat loss area is the floor,
house # 4 windows loss the same amount of energy that floor
do.
